HomeStars is an online platform that connects homeowners with home improvement contractors. Pulsar Construction was a proud HomeStars member for more than a decade before the platform changed its policies, and we decided to end our membership in 2025.
For years, HomeStars was the go-to place for Canadian homeowners searching for trusted contractors in their area. It used to be a straightforward and transparent review platform built on verified reviews, open communication, and visible customer feedback—making it easy to see which companies truly delivered great work.
However, in recent years, the platform has changed in ways that made it less helpful for both homeowners and quality contractors alike.

Entries were judged by celebrity landscape designer Carson Arthur and Canada’s Favourite Handyman Chris Palmer, with a focus on creativity, functionality, and how well the structure fit its surroundings.
