Pulsar Construction is a family-owned and operated deck-building business serving homeowners throughout the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. We specialize in new deck construction and complete deck replacement using advanced PVC decking, low-maintenance composite decking, and traditional wood decking. As a BBB A+ rated and award-winning deck builder, we focus exclusively on residential deck projects, including ground-level, low-elevation, multi-level, and pool decks.
Meet Alex, the owner and founder of Pulsar Construction and the leader of the deck-building crew. With more than 25 years of construction and carpentry experience, Alex has devoted the last 15 years exclusively to building decks in BC.
Unlike larger companies that rely on salespeople and subcontractors, Alex works directly with homeowners from the initial consultation through project completion and remains actively involved in every project. This means the same person who discusses your deck design, materials, and construction details will also be the person building your deck.
Over the years, Alex has worked with a wide range of composite, PVC, and wood decking products, including TimberTech, Trex, Fiberon, and other leading brands available in the local market. His work has earned multiple awards and recognition from HomeStars and Houzz, helping establish a reputation for quality workmanship, professionalism, and personalized customer service.
Pulsar Construction is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, licensed, and insured. We maintain WorkSafeBC coverage and carry $2 million in general liability insurance to help protect our clients and their property. We use a progress payments system, meaning payments are based on completed stages of work rather than large upfront payments.
Because we never run more than one project at a time, our full attention remains focused on your deck from the start of construction to the final walkthrough. This approach allows us to maintain quality, communication, and consistency throughout the entire building process.
We combine homeowner ideas with building regulations, functionality, and quality workmanship to create outdoor spaces that are both attractive and built to last. We provide a labor and installation warranty on newly built decks and complete deck replacements because we stand behind the quality of our work.
